The
Salt Gallery in Burfords picturesque Cotswold stone courtyard of
Bear Court, specialises in the sale of UK studio pottery and glass from
some of the UK's leading potters and glassmakers.
The space occupied by the gallery is surprisingly light benefiting from
three sunny cottage windows and items are displayed in an uncluttered way.
The gallery caters for both serious collector and casual visitor. It always
has a wide selection of salt glaze work especially the highly praised work
of Steve Harrison and in particular glass by Norman Stuart Clarke.
Steve Harrison is a ceramic artist whose pots are created both to
be seen and used. He trained for seven years, concluding at the Royal College
of Art in 1993. Steve won the Queensbury Hunt Tableware award in 1991 and
the Acme Malls award for work in the Victoria and Albert Museum Ceramics
Contemporaries exhibition in 1996.
Norman Stuart Clarke , one of Britain's leading artist glassblowers,
